Call for Membership and Volunteer Applications

Hope Foundation invites applications from qualified, committed, and value-driven individuals for Membership and Volunteer engagement on a rolling basis. Individuals who share our commitment to inclusive, rights-based development and ethical social practice are encouraged to apply.

Hope Foundation is a legally registered, non-profit and non-political organisation working to advance inclusive community development, human rights realisation, and accountable governance in Nepal. Registered under the Social Organisations Registration Act 2034 (1977) and affiliated with the Social Welfare Council (SWC), the organisation operates with a strong focus on marginalised and underserved communities, particularly women, Dalits, minorities, persons with disabilities, and youth.

Applicants for membership must:

  • Be 18 years of age or above
  • Demonstrate alignment with the vision, mission, values, and objectives of Hope Foundation
  • Possess interest, experience, or engagement in development, human rights, governance, research, or social service
  • Agree to comply with the organisation’s statute, policies, code of conduct, and safeguarding standards
  • Maintain the organisation’s non-political, non-profit, and apolitical character
  • Membership is subject to a prescribed membership fee as determined by the organisation’s statute and General Assembly.
  • Fee details will be communicated to applicants upon provisional approval.

Applicants for volunteer engagement must:

  • Be 16 years of age or above (applicants under 18 require guardian consent)
  • Demonstrate motivation to contribute time, skills, or expertise to community development, research, advocacy, communication, or programme support
  • Commit to ethical conduct, confidentiality, and the organisation’s safeguarding and child protection standards
  • Respect principles of inclusion, non-discrimination, and do-no-harm

Volunteer assignments may be short-term or long-term, and field-based or office-based, depending on organisational needs.

Hope Foundation maintains zero tolerance toward sexual exploitation, abuse, harassment, discrimination, and any form of harm. All members and volunteers are required to:

  • Adhere to the organisation’s Safeguarding Policy, Child Protection Policy, and Code of Conduct
  • Participate in safeguarding orientation where required
  • Support the creation of a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for communities and stakeholders
